Dhcp not updating dns forward lookup zone updating firmware on an xbox 360
Right after the member server came into the domain, I received events 10 (Access denied) on all three servers.Because the member server has to support the domain with WSUS, I downloaded and installed the "Group Policy Management Console" (gpmc.msi) from Microsoft. By clearing the inconsistency problems in the GPO between SYSVOL and Active Directory with the Group Policy Management Console, events 10 were also cleared on all Servers and Clients (about 60).
Once I changed my password to adhere to the requirements, the errors stopped and I could edit group policy objects once again.
After using the VMWare converter to virtualize my windows server 2003 R2 domain controller, I was getting errors with event ID 10.
I logged on to the machine and saw it needed to be activated. We experienced this error after renaming a domain, using version 1.4 of the Microsoft domain rename tools.
I installed the latest version, excluded Sysvol and now everything works as it should. I was having this problem on a 2008 DC newly promoted.
On the folder of the faulting GPO, right click and select Properties. I activated the access on this DC and the problem was fixed.
